A Brand New Concept In Music Radio NEW SHOW ON UNITED DJS WITH TRACEY LEE ; 'MY PLAYLIST' I've been doing some research and surveys over the last few months about the future of radio.

The results from teens to over 60s : in a nutshell -

"I reckon we’ve got to embrace Spotify and AI into radio."

One of the reasons we set up Spotify is to share music we discover with others.

That's exactly what I'm doing with my show.

I've already shared 'My Playlist' with my family and friends ...the teens to the over 60s who gave it the thumbs up.

Surprisingly, the most interest was from the younger ones!!

I am in a perfect time and place right now...there is a new 80s sound in new music and it's made 80s music cool again.

I think the extremely popular Netflix show ‘Stranger Things’ has a lot to do with that.

I would describe the style of the show as 'Eclectic' made up of many different genres

including Space pop, Dream Pop, 80s, Downtempo, nu-disco, synthwave, French House, Trip Hop, Electronic Pop, Lo-Fi and chill out which are also some of the most listened to genres on Spotify especially among young audiences. 

They all fit snugly into that late night feel too.

If you look at the Indie chart now…. Lots of new sounds , experimenting with old sounds. 

I think we are at a really exciting time in music. It’s the start of something great. All the fun stuff we loved in the 80s are being re oomph and polished anew.

There’s a lot of talented musicians , vocalists and I am very excited to share what I discover with you.

There will be a different playlist each week. 

The first is "My Playlist #121" and I've incorporated Salli, my AI Voiceover as my assistant. 

If I don't tell you what song you're listening to, Salli will at the start of the song plus the track number. Alexa is part of our lives now and Salli is part of my radio show.

So hopefully I can bring a whole new audience to join the already loyal ones to United DJs Radio.

My Playlist will air every Tuesday at 9 -11pm (UK time) on UNITED DJS RADIO and is re-inventing what a radio show is.

It's six months worth of planning and fine tuning and is a brand new concept in music radio.
